6.0 on-wards has a scheduled that if you are not on during X or Y period you will be behind. 4.0 was one of the best patches for this game but it also stepped over the line with to much content locked behind instances in a PvPvE open world game. If developers give players the tools to focus solely on progression then players will do so.Īll this is not to say that you could not find nuggets of fun from 4.0>7.5 because you could/can. PvP is relic of the past and it is not only a player issue but a developer issue. This holds true all the way up to current Aion in the NA region. Combine this with the fact anyone that wanted a PvP fix was going to high rate PvP P-servers Aion was all but a progression based game that lacked decent progression based content. It affected PvP so much that instead of PvPing in PvP content you opted out for faster progression because rank was important to many players. As they say tiamat destroys everything, With her death it also destroyed the games vision so she get got the last laugh.Ĥ.0>7.5 lost its lore and replaced it with cash shop features.Ĥ.0 simply added to much content for an open world PvPvE MMORPG. Lacked instance content so players had to make their own open world content.
